Your Mission

As an emergency planner at the Director General's staff, you will work with emergency planning at the authority level across the entire threat spectrum. Your job is to independently and collaboratively plan, implement, and follow up on the authority's emergency planning. This includes contributing with analyses, development activities, coordination, and follow-up of the authority's work in the area. You will also lead and participate in internal forums and represent the authority in external forums.

Organizationally, you will belong to the unit of the Director General's staff within Management Support. Travel within the country may occur in the position.

You Can

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant academic education or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience in strategic and operational activities within the defense sector, at the government office, or another relevant authority
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
• Good knowledge of the Office suite

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Leadership or managerial experience
• Experience working at FRA
• Experience in war and emergency planning
• Training in crisis and emergency planning
• Experience in planning and conducting exercise and training activities within the emergency area
• Experience in risk and vulnerability analyses and continuity planning

To thrive in the role of emergency planner, it is important that you are proactive and self-driven and have a strategic mindset. You are used to setting high goals and completing work in a structured manner. You have the ability to develop plans both in the short and long term and foresee problems while developing alternative plans for them. You are also good at building relationships and enjoy collaborating with others by promoting and developing others' ideas and helping when needed for the group as a whole to perform. The nature of the work requires that you have a high level of integrity.

More Information

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes by bus from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. A requirement for employment is a successful security screening with a background check. The security screening will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
