The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special teacher at our resource center, your focus is on teaching, investigation, and development. By teaching students individually, in groups, or in classes, you contribute to helping students achieve the highest possible level of goal fulfillment based on their capacity. Special teachers assist teachers in conducting screenings and analyze the results in collaboration with special educators. As a special teacher, you contribute to increased teaching quality by mentoring staff. You identify risks that may lead to difficulties in the student's learning and knowledge development, and design preventive and promotional measures. You assist teachers in the work with pedagogical investigations. Together with colleagues at the resource center, you analyze students' knowledge development and provide teachers with suggestions for actions and changes. Your task is to create the best opportunities for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive, feel secure, and provide a good education based on the needs of the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a teaching license
• You have a special teacher's degree. A special education degree may be assessed as equivalent in combination with other qualifications.
• You are well-versed in the school's curriculum
• You have experience supporting teachers in assessment and grading
• We would like you to have experience in the role of special teacher

Furthermore, we see that you are a communicatively skilled person with the ability to convey information clearly and pedagogically, adapting your communication to the recipient's needs and the current situation.
