The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also for Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and social orientation for newcomers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a primary school teacher, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the primary school curriculum and accustomed to working with applicable goals and quality standards within primary school activities. You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set by the primary school curriculum and contribute to implementing and fulfilling the primary school's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities.

The assignment includes planning and documentation of teaching primarily in English in combination with other subjects such as Social Studies, Mathematics, Sports, and/or Technology. You work closely with the students to support their individual needs and goals. In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for creating an inspiring learning environment where each student is given the opportunity to grow and develop both academically and socially. Collaboration with the team is an important part of the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for a certified teacher for grades 4-6 with authorization to teach Swedish for a temporary position. We consider it an advantage if you have experience teaching grades 4-6, especially in Swedish.

You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to others in an open and attentive manner both in your teaching and in the school's daily life. In this way, you contribute to creating an open and unpretentious collaborative climate where questions and potential challenges can be solved constructively and where everyone takes joint responsibility for achieving set goals. This approach means that you find it easy to build good and trusting relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues.

Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible person who is comfortable planning and structuring your work based on applicable goals and quality standards within primary school activities. At the same time, we value innovative thinking in the organization and would like you to be a person who brings ideas and new thoughts that you also implement in practice to contribute to the development of both daily work and the organization as a whole.
