The Role of Special Educator with Us

In this role, you will be part of a well-functioning team within the central administration, focusing on supporting work teams in primary schools where students with autism attend. The work includes collegial supervision, professional development through training initiatives, as well as operational visits and observations. A significant part of the assignment will also involve being responsible for issues regarding support for children in preschool and students in primary school with hearing impairment.

You will have close contact with the Hearing Rehabilitation Region Halland regarding children and students with hearing impairment and will be part of a hearing network in Halland municipalities. You will sometimes work closely with teams around the student and also model approaches and maintain contact with the student health team at the school. Another part of your assignment involves contributing to the creation of new professional development initiatives for staff in core operations.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a qualified special teacher/special educator
• is well acquainted with various assessment tools and can use the results as a basis for pedagogical development
• has experience writing action plans and/or similar documents
• has experience working with students with NPF

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working comprehensively as a special teacher/special educator
• specialization in deafness or hearing impairment
• special teacher education with a focus on severe language impairment or the language impairment study package via SPSM
• experience working with TAKK (sign language as an alternative communication)
• good knowledge of pedagogical mapping and assessments of students' needs through experience

Within the Preschool and Primary School administration, Quality and Development is a comprehensive unit focused on being at the forefront of school development issues in Kungsbacka. You will collaborate with a group of highly competent and driven colleagues, primarily in the part of the unit that specifically works with child and student health issues.

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position (100%) with placement according to agreement. We wish for you to be on site in August 2025.
