The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, leisure centers, and culture schools. Every day, about 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

Östergård School is a primary school with grades 4-9 and an associated leisure center. The school has about 650 students. The school is located in central Halmstad with easy access to facilities such as Halmstad Arena. At Östergård School, we work closely in teams, with great commitment to developing our students towards their goals.

Östergård School and its students and staff moved into new, beautiful premises in the autumn term of 2024. For several years, we have worked to challenge structures on how the school is organized and how we can work differently to give our students the best possible conditions. We are proud of the work being done while we continue to strive to develop ourselves every day. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a teacher in Swedish/SVA, qualified for grades 7-9 at Östergård School.

The position involves working in the team linked to grade 7 or grade 9 and following the students through their journey in secondary school. As a Swedish/SVA teacher at Östergård School, you will be part of a co-teaching model and thus teach our students together with a qualified subject colleague!

As a teacher, you will help develop the school's pedagogical activities. The work consists of planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching together with the team based on our governing documents and the goals of the organization. The pedagogical responsibility that teachers have for ensuring that students reach their goals often requires ingenuity, creativity, and flexibility. You have high expectations for the students and can motivate them to achieve good results in their schoolwork by clarifying the goals and knowledge requirements for them. You will collaborate with other colleagues at the school in a non-prestigious spirit where we all support, coach, and have fun together. In the role of a teacher, a good ability to analyze the child's needs and the ability to use a well-adapted methodology for the student and the group is required.

It is important that you adapt your teaching and work in a language-developing way.

You are also good at creating good relationships with our students. The sense of togetherness is strong, and with you in our team, you will further enhance that feeling!

Teaching certification with qualification to teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language in grades 7-9.

The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order it in good time!
