We are a municipal staffing department that handles short-term absences of up to 14 days for the social services, preschool and primary school administration, and food & cleaning services in the service administration. We are now looking for more employees who want to work in our operations.

We are continuously recruiting based on the needs of our various operations, which means we may prioritize certain areas over others.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Care and Support:

Your task will be to meet and support children, young people, or adults with disabilities, or elderly individuals who need assistance in their daily lives. You will receive an introduction and training, and you will quickly become part of our community, starting by shadowing an experienced colleague.

Your work will be to be there for someone who needs you, to facilitate and enable things in everyday life that many of us take for granted. You will often help with dressing and undressing, hygiene, and toilet visits. It may involve cooking, cleaning, or shopping together. It may also mean accompanying them to activities such as movies, swimming, concerts, or sports events. We often laugh together and comfort when needed.

You will mostly work in a team, but when you feel secure, there will be times when you work alone. If you work as a personal assistant, this will apply most of the time.

Preschool and Primary School:

As a paid substitute in preschool and primary school, you will assist in the educational work and support the children/students and your closest colleagues. The work may include teaching in classes and groups, participating in meal situations, outdoor activities, and other tasks that occur in our operations. Since the work takes place both indoors and outdoors, weather-appropriate clothing is required.

There is also an opportunity to work in adapted primary school, which is for students with intellectual disabilities or cognitive impairments due to brain injury.

Food and Cleaning:

As a paid substitute in food and cleaning, you can work as either a meal assistant or a cook. As a meal assistant, you will be responsible for serving and preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks, performing self-checks for the kitchen, and managing serving and dishwashing. You will also be responsible for cleaning. As a cook, you will be responsible for cooking from scratch, preparing special diets, conducting self-checks for the kitchen, and cleaning and dishwashing.

QUALIFICATIONS

The staffing department primarily seeks individuals with training in care and support, preschool, after-school programs, primary school, or in restaurant and food services. It is advantageous if you have completed the care and support program, the child and leisure program, or the restaurant and food program in high school.

You must be at least 18 years old to be employed with us.

We are looking for individuals who have a good attitude, are flexible, have initiative and teamwork skills, and are responsible. Due to the nature of the tasks, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required so that you can communicate verbally and in writing with those you assist, as well as with relatives and colleagues. You need to be able to work with both male and female clients and colleagues.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Experience in our operations is an advantage.

Since the need for substitutes can arise suddenly, you must be able to report to the workplace at short notice. You are expected to be available for work at least three shifts per week, except for those who are retirees and students in our operational areas.

The operations within care and support are largely open all year round, 24/7. In preschool and primary school, our operations are open on weekdays from 06:30 AM to 06:30 PM, and it is important that you are available most of these hours.

A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous.

Please attach your grades, diploma, preschool teacher certification, and/or teacher certification, and if applicable, a certificate for nursing assistant title in your application.

As an employee in the staffing department, you need to present a criminal record extract before employment can be created, regardless of which operation you will work in. When you present your criminal record extract, you must also bring valid identification.

Before a possible employment, we will check citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
