Leisure Teacher at Vittraskolorna

What we are looking for:

Are you a leisure teacher driven by creating a meaningful leisure time for children and young people? Do you understand how important this is and have the competence to fulfill the role? We are now looking for a leisure teacher for our after-school care.

As a qualified leisure teacher, you will lead and develop the after-school care's activities based on the curriculum. Therefore, you should enjoy both leading and developing, as well as have a curious approach to your assignment.

As a leisure teacher with us, you will work in activities both during leisure time and school hours.

During the school day, you are an important person in the teaching process as you support classes and smaller groups. Therefore, you need to be comfortable being part of the students' teaching even during school hours, and we would like you to have experience working with children in need of support and have good knowledge of NPF and other disabilities.

During mornings and afternoons, you will work at our after-school care, which consists of about 200 students divided into two departments: Fröet for grades F-2 and Maskrosen for grades 3-5. You will be responsible for leading and conducting the activities you plan together with your leisure colleagues. You will help create a meaningful school day and leisure day for our children and students.

At Vittra, after-school care and school form a whole. Learning and development guide all planned activities, and just like in school, we systematically follow up on the quality of everything we do. Therefore, we meet in regular collegial conversations to discuss teaching. The students are our most important partners and are constantly present in our development work. This means that it is always us leisure teachers who are responsible for both the teaching and the pedagogical relationship, but everything we do is done in collaboration with the students.

We offer a developing work environment with many career paths. Vittra has a training program consisting of various external training courses as well as internal training, including a leadership development program for team leaders and professional development days for leisure teachers.
