The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, and cultural schools. Every day, approximately 16,000 children attend one of our operations.

Solbackeskolan is a 4-9 school with currently about 400 students, located in the southern parts of Halmstad. We are growing and will have four parallel classes for grades 4-9 and about 550 students when fully developed. As our operations grow, we also need to expand our teaching team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a subject teacher, you will meet our students from grades 7-9. You will be part of a work team (7-9) and also be a mentor. You will be responsible for teaching in your subjects but will also help develop the school's pedagogical activities as a whole. You are a clear and structured leader in the classroom with good pedagogical skills in teaching. You have high expectations of the students and can motivate them to achieve good results in their schoolwork by clarifying the goals and knowledge requirements.

You find it easy to collaborate and see the work team as an asset. Together with the work team and subject team, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching based on the school's governing documents and local development plan. The work also requires collaboration with other colleagues at the school. In the role of teacher, a good ability to analyze the child's needs and the ability to use a well-adapted methodology for the student and group is required. You see the value of offering our students that little extra. You understand the importance of creating relationships with the youth even outside your own classroom, for example during scheduled pedagogical meals or through a chat in the corridors or break rooms.

You are confident in documenting students' knowledge development and have a good understanding of our governing documents and our digital platforms (Unikum, Teams, etc.).

Teaching license with qualifications to teach grades 7-9.

If you are offered employment within the Children and Youth Administration, you are required to present an extract without remarks from the Police's criminal record for work in schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order in good time!
