In the autumn of 2025, we will fill two vacant positions at our after-school center.

Your Profile

• We are primarily looking for someone who is educated as a Leisure Educator/After-school Leader or alternatively a Preschool Teacher.

• We would like you to have a few years of experience as the work involves a great deal of responsibility.

• You will work together with the other staff at the after-school center to plan, develop, and establish strategies for the after-school activities.

• We hope that you share/support the values that permeate the entire organization.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

As a Leisure Educator, you will be responsible, together with a team, for Nyhem School's after-school center. The school is a K-9 school that currently consists of 164 students, of which about 60 have after-school placements after the regular school day. Typically, three to four educators work in the after-school department, slightly adjusted according to the number of children as it varies throughout the afternoon.

The job responsibilities consist of conducting after-school activities in accordance with governing documents and the goals described in the curriculum for after-school centers.

We work continuously and systematically with the educational mission of the after-school center.

We have a clear focus on outdoor education at our after-school center. This means that we conduct outdoor teaching several afternoons a week in different groups.

We care about all our children and students; we want to offer an attractive school where the after-school center is an important part of children's and students' development and learning.

In the role of leisure educator, you are part of a team that drives development work forward and plans and implements teaching in accordance with the assignment and goals.

The after-school activities should be stimulating and educational for the children.

Together with colleagues at the after-school center, school, and preschool, you are expected to prioritize the children and work across organizational boundaries to provide children and students with the quality education that Nyhem School aims to convey.

The position may involve administrative tasks as well as work in the school during the mornings.
