The Property & Cleaning operations are extensive and consist of several parts that are essential for commuter train traffic and have various safety challenges. Examples include cleaning all stations, depots, and commuter train vehicles, property management and maintenance through in-house staff and subcontractors, graffiti and damage management at stations and vehicles, and various coordination and case management functions. The traffic safety issues related to Property & Cleaning are mainly within graffiti and damage management linked to work in tracks and management of work affecting traffic safety, including handling related documentation.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and lead safety management work within Property & Cleaning and contribute to high engagement and a good understanding of safety issues.
- Conduct risk assessments, assist in investigations of accidents and incidents, and manage deviation reports, etc.
- Coordinate and develop the entire production area's safety work (traffic safety and other safety)
- Work on development within the safety area through improvement work
In the role of Safety Coordinator, you will report to the Head of Property & Cleaning. You will work independently but in good collaboration with your colleagues and take significant personal responsibility for progress and delivery. As a Safety Coordinator, you will work together with other colleagues in the safety and security area and the group's central support functions for safety issues. The role is formally TSS (Traffic Safety Coordinator) according to SJ AB Traffic Safety Organization and in some cases reports directly to/executes assignments for SJ Stockholmståg's Head of Safety and Security.
Expectations for the Candidate
We are broadly searching within the railway sector for someone with good knowledge of safety work and traffic safety work related to work in tracks and related production activities. To thrive in the role, we believe you have an interest in working administratively with, for example, risk analyses and documentation, and in conjunction with this, inform and educate about safety management and learning from incidents, etc.
As a person, you have good personal maturity and integrity, as well as the ability to build networks. You are solution-focused, open to new ideas, and take significant personal responsibility. You collaborate well with managers and other leadership functions as well as with cleaners, coordinators, and of course with your closest colleagues.
Requirements for the Role:
- Education as a university or civil engineer or equivalent work experience
- At least 3-5 years of work experience in the field, for example in safety management, protection and safety planning, or management of traffic safety-affecting tasks
- Well-versed in railway traffic safety issues both theoretically and practically
- Very good oral and written communication skills
Application and Information
Selection is ongoing, so please submit your application as soon as possible. In the process, we will conduct a background check. As the position may be classified according to the Security Protection Act, this may mean that we will conduct a security assessment of you as a candidate before employment. A successful security assessment is then a prerequisite for employment.
We are a drug- and alcohol-free workplace where random checks occur.
