The Royal Opera is looking for a Work Environment Coordinator/Engineer

The Royal Opera is seeking an engaged and knowledgeable Work Environment Coordinator or Work Environment Engineer for a project employment focused on assisting and helping managers drive the work of creating a safe and secure workplace.

In this role, you will actively support the organization in systematic work environment efforts. The role includes developing and improving our work processes and contributing to maintaining a safe work environment. The role is operational where you, in close collaboration with managers and HR, are expected to work actively in the operations – both in the Opera House and in the Opera's decoration workshops in Flemingsberg and the Opera's storage in Jordbro.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of the operations.
• Perform in-depth risk assessments where necessary.
• Analyze and propose measures to reduce work environment risks.
• Support managers and employees in work environment issues and provide training as needed.
• Follow up and evaluate work environment initiatives.
• Contribute to establishing routines as needed and assist with their implementation.
• Develop a structure for the Opera's work environment documentation.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of improvement, safety, and work environment efforts, driven by communication, and who is structured and solution-oriented. We prefer that you have an education as a work environment engineer or equivalent. Alternatively, you have acquired relevant competence through at least a couple of years of experience working with work environment issues.

You should have analytical skills, be solution-oriented, have a strong personal drive, and possess good communication skills in Swedish to collaborate with various functions within the organization. You are good at planning and organizing your work in the short and long term and document your work.

Meritorious Experiences and Knowledge

• Experience in systematic work environment efforts.
• Knowledge of work environment legislation and applicable standards.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and proposing improvement measures.
• Experience in training and advising in the work environment area.

Employment Form

Agreed fixed-term employment initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Start date is according to agreement. To facilitate your introduction to the role, we offer mentoring support from an experienced work environment engineer with experience from our operations during an initial period if needed.
