Your Mission
As a Security Protection Officer, you belong to the Personnel Security Unit. The unit's task is to manage the security clearance process at FRA.
In the role of Security Protection Officer, your main tasks will be to conduct security clearances for personnel during and after employment, as well as within the framework of security-protected procurement agreements. Your main tasks primarily consist of:
- Interviews and discussions.
- Processing of background checks and security-related personnel matters.
- Advisory role towards managers and employees in the area of security clearance.
The role involves internal contact points across the agency. You will work closely with HR and hiring managers. You will also have external contact with other agencies and companies. Our work is based on close collaboration, where we learn and have fun together.
At FRA, we have strong confidentiality, and it is important that you can handle that. Travel in the line of duty may occur both within and outside the country.
You Can
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in security or other relevant education or experience for the position.
- Previous experience in security clearance or similar activities, such as individual assessments and/or in-depth conversations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite.
- Experience working with information in databases.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Training in conversation and interviews.
- Education in behavioral science.
- Intelligence training (PBI/Humint) police education.
- Experience in operational security work, preferably within a defense-related or law enforcement agency.
- Knowledge of security protection legislation and the Swedish Armed Forces' regulations regarding security service.
- Experience in investigations, person-based intelligence gathering, assessments in personnel security matters and/or citizenship issues.
- Knowledge of intelligence systems, primarily IS Und/Säk but also Analyst notebook or equivalent.
- Driver's license (B).

More Information
The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes by bus from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a successful security clearance with a background check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
