About the Role

As this position is a summer temporary job, we wish that you are available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in good time! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. The length of shifts varies, but is often 12-hour shifts either day or night. It is common to work every other weekend.

As a stationary guard, your main task is to provide security to one of our clients by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. You often work at the entrance of a larger company and check those who pass in and out, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. The tasks vary from client to client. You work independently and under your own responsibility, often both day and night.

Filip is one of the colleagues who was hired last spring for a summer position and is now continuing his time at Securitas. Here’s what he says about his role:

"The best part of my role is when I can help the customer and leave a positive impression. It is incredibly rewarding to feel that your work is appreciated. A typical day means that I work stationarily, where I handle both reception duties and respond to alarms. We also have other assignments in the area, such as traffic monitoring, guiding, and underground patrols. I was most positively surprised by how nice the people are when we meet them, and how much they truly appreciate what we do.”

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B

It is an advantage if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, and can handle periods of high workload. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you who apply are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems and solve them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
