Rosersberg Prison is located north of Stockholm and is a security class 2 prison with around 100 places, as well as a remand facility with about 50 places for detainees awaiting deportation from the country.
The mission of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service is to prepare individuals who are deprived of their freedom for a life without crime and drugs. For clients placed in the prison, there are daytime activities such as work in the wood industry, studies in basic/secondary education, and other types of activities to better equip them for life outside the walls.
We are about 130 employees who together run Rosersberg Prison and Remand Facility. If you drive, parking is free; if you prefer to take the commuter train, Rosersberg is only a 10-minute walk from the station.
