At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 350 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with approximately 4000 employees.
Job Description
As a security specialist with the function of emergency planner, you will play a central role in leading, developing, and strengthening the authority's capacity in crisis preparedness and civil defense. The position is located in the section for operational and personal protection, which belongs to the authority's security department. The section works to provide support and guidance for security work at our institutions and headquarters. In addition to support and guidance, the section is responsible for crisis preparedness and continuity planning as well as risk and vulnerability work. We also work with personal protection and employee safety, as well as the development and implementation of internal investigations.
Here you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and, together with other colleagues, help develop security work throughout the authority. The department fosters a work environment that encourages engagement and development, where there are good opportunities for further skills development in your own and other security areas within the department.
As a security specialist, you will work with:
- Coordination and follow-up of the authority's work with crisis preparedness and total defense
- Risk and vulnerability analyses
- Planning and conducting emergency-related training and exercises at national and local levels
- Leading and participating in various internal and external forums where you represent SiS as an authority
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in the field of security or other post-secondary education deemed equivalent by SiS
- Several years of experience related to crisis preparedness and/or civil defense
- Current experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses in emergency contexts
- Experience in planning, designing, and conducting training and exercise initiatives
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you also have experience in:
- Crisis management and staff work
- Working within an organization with a large geographical spread
- Good insight into the security political situation and the Swedish crisis preparedness system
To thrive and succeed in this position, it is important to be flexible and have good collaboration skills. Since the work involves many contacts both within and outside the authority, we see that you are a relationship-building and communicative person with the ability to convey messages clearly tailored to the recipient. Furthermore, you are used to handling complex and sometimes sensitive information and take great responsibility for your work, driving it in accordance with the authority's strategic goals.
For us, it is important that you share our values – a human view of people, respect for the individual, and a belief in each person's potential to grow and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
