Specialist in Construction Work Environment for Major Projects, Ostlänken

Job Responsibilities

Within the Major Projects division, Ostlänken is tasked with building 160 kilometers of new railway between Järna and Linköping. A necessary reinforcement of the railway's capacity that contributes to shorter travel times, sustainable transport, and better punctuality in train traffic.

As a specialist in Construction Work Environment at Major Projects - Ostlänken, your task is to work in the area of construction work environment from both a project-specific perspective in investment projects and from a Trafikverket perspective. The role means that you will operationally drive and work on the development of the client's work environment efforts in both the short and long term. The work also includes electrical and traffic safety for road and railway and the follow-up of these.

Through many contacts and collaborations, as well as by creating effective processes, you ensure that we comply with legislation, regulatory requirements, and our own goals and standards. You are also active in our handling of deviations, both from a regulatory and improvement perspective. Your tasks include, among others:

• Supporting the program and projects with analyses and decision-making materials.
• Reviewing internal and external contract-specific documents such as construction work environment plans, risk lists, APD plans, work preparations, etc.
• Assisting in reporting and handling accidents, incidents, and deviations and following up on actions related to these.
• Monitoring and following up on the client's responsibilities in the program and projects and reporting in Trafikverket's follow-up tools.
• Conducting internal training and workshops in the area.
• Acting as a requirements setter and advisor for the authority in the construction work environment and electrical and traffic safety areas.

The location for this position is Solna or Norrköping.

Qualifications

As a person, you are driven by the desire to improve safety and construction work environment efforts. You take initiative and have the ability to adapt and find solutions through a humble focus. You are skilled at building trusting relationships and managing different interests and perspectives. This means, for example, that you are communicative, attentive, and have good collaboration skills.

We are looking for someone who has

• a university degree with a technical focus or other education and experience that we consider equivalent
• several years of recent experience working with construction work environment in project activities
• good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• a driver's license for passenger cars
• good computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite.

It is advantageous if you have experience in

• working in electrical and traffic safety for road and railway
• strategically developing guidance and support
• implementing methods and working practices within the construction work environment
• working in the construction and civil engineering industry.
