In the Stockholm North police area, nearly one million residents live. Even more work, pass through, and spend time here every day. Our geographical area spans 14 municipalities. The Stockholm North police area is divided into seven local police areas: Norrtälje, Södra Roslagen, Sollentuna, Solna, Järva, Järfälla, and Vällingby. At the police area level, there are investigation units, serious crime units, surveillance units, units for crimes in close relationships, and operational support units. Additionally, there is a police area administration.

The Järva local police area is part of the Stockholm North police area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, intelligence groups, as well as support and service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The main task as a community police officer is to drive the Police Authority's crime prevention and safety-enhancing work in collaboration with the municipality and the rest of society. The role includes participating in the work with cooperation agreements established between the Järva district administration and the local police area. You are expected to take an active role in driving the development of the operations forward together with your colleagues in the local police area.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Swedish approved police exam in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104)
  • Good experience in local crime prevention and safety-enhancing work
  • Experience in collaboration with the municipality and local community
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing
  • Driver's license B

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience in collaboration with actors both internally and externally.
  • Experience in collaborative work with the municipality and/or local community, as assessed relevant by the employer.
  • Good knowledge of local problem areas, as assessed relevant by the employer
  • Experience in leading work in project form
  • Experience in the area of operations

Personal qualities

As the local police area is complex, we see that you are flexible and have the ability to take responsibility across several operational branches. As a community police officer, you will represent the police in collaboration with the district administrations in Järva and other external stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you can collaborate with others. This role will also involve independent work where you take your own initiatives. You will also hold presentations and speak in front of groups, which will require your communicative ability.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
