IMY is now recruiting a security specialist in security protection and cybersecurity to the IT and Security Unit (ITS). With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic organization with an important mission that affects all citizens in our society.

Job Responsibilities

As a security specialist at IMY, you protect both the authority's information and what is significant for Sweden's security against espionage, sabotage, terrorist crimes, and certain other threats. The area of responsibility includes providing support, advice, and being a requirement setter in matters primarily concerning physical security, security protection, and IT security.

Within security protection, you will work with various types of cases concerning security-sensitive activities within the authority in accordance with security protection legislation. Another important part of the work is internal guidance regarding the interpretation of regulations and advice concerning security protection. You actively contribute to the development of processes, methods, and routines within the security protection area. You support the authority's security protection manager regarding analysis, planning, implementation, and follow-up of security.

You will work on tasks across the entire security field, such as:

• Security analyses - Participate and implement
• Security-protected procurement - Support in procurements with security protection agreements
• Personnel security - Background checks, security clearance interviews, background checks, and security training
• Physical security - Dimensioning of physical security
• IT security – conducting security analyses and investigations
• Contact person with the authority's SOC service

As this position is new at the authority, there are opportunities to influence the content of the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic background in security protection, computer science, or systems science, or relevant experience that the employer can assess as relevant. You have several years of experience in security protection as well as performing security clearances, security analyses, and personnel security. Good knowledge of the Security Protection Act and the Security Protection Ordinance is required. We are looking for someone with experience in relevant frameworks in the field, such as ISO 27001.

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• Working in the public sector, preferably a government agency
• Work within total defense
• Crisis management and incident and continuity management
• Work in complex IT environments and have experience in the cybersecurity field

The Position

The employment is a permanent full-time position. IMY applies a six-month probationary period. The work is based in our pleasant activity-based premises centrally located in Stockholm, with the possibility of individual agreements on hybrid work.

The position is classified in a security class, which means that Swedish citizenship is required for this position. A security clearance with background checks will be conducted before we make a decision on employment.
