About the job

You will work with system development in an agile development team, and together you will be responsible for the team's deliveries while also considering the bigger picture. The team is cross-functional, and there is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge in various areas. We have a long-term mission and focus on sustainable, future-proof solutions with minimized technical debt. We are implementing modern technology and developing our architecture. The development environment includes Red Hat OCP, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, and Vue.

We actively work with skills and technology development, for example in innovation sprints. You will have knowledgeable colleagues to exchange experiences with - you can develop both breadth and depth with us.

It is important for us that you have a balance between work and leisure; we offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partly from home. You will receive an hour of wellness time each week and wellness benefits.

The IT department of the Swedish Tax Agency consists of about 1,500 employees, and in Östersund, we are about 120 employees. We are located in newly built premises on Campus together with the rest of the Swedish Tax Agency.

About you

To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In this job, you should:

• have good collaboration skills, be helpful, and have a good demeanor

• be goal-oriented and contribute to achieving the purpose of the operation
• act consciously and professionally based on good self-awareness

You should also have:

• relevant and current completed education in IT (at least 180 credits) from a university or college with courses of at least 30 credits in programming
• at least 2 years of relevant and current work experience as a backend developer
• at least 2 years of relevant and current work experience with agile methods
• experience in system development with object-oriented programming languages from both your studies and work life

Good to know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
