Digitalization Department is Hiring a Service Portfolio Manager

Development and digitalization are prioritized areas for Region Jämtland Härjedalen. To fulfill this mission, resources in research, innovation, development, technology, digitalization, education, IT, eHealth, analysis, and statistics have been gathered in the area of Development and Digitalization.

The Digitalization Department is a strategic function within this area and is responsible for IT operations/development, medical technology, and system management. We have about 60 employees organized into four units: Digital Development, Digital Workplace, IT Infrastructure and Security, and Medical Technology. We are located in centrally placed premises in Östersund, and medical technology is located within the hospital's premises.

Our strategy is primarily to procure services for IT operations, management, and development, as well as medical technology, from market players. Our own organization is primarily responsible for governance, monitoring, and coordination. This means we work closely with both suppliers and representatives from the operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves having business responsibility towards our suppliers of IT operations and telephony, representing the Region in contract matters and procurements, as well as a consolidated budget responsibility for IT Infrastructure.

Your role within ITIL will be Service Portfolio Manager, which means:

  • Ensuring that the operational needs are met and that services are cost-effective
  • Being a strategic partner to the operations regarding how IT can contribute to the development of the business
  • Monitoring services financially and ensuring that improvement opportunities are realized
  • Responsible for building and managing the service catalog

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you are structured and work systematically. You find it easy to collaborate and can work both independently and in teams. You have the ability to translate and communicate technical solutions in an understandable way. You have a very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You are responsible, proactive, and action-oriented, and you generously share your knowledge. You are driven and have a strong focus on results, are flexible, and curious about new challenges.

You have a good technical understanding combined with experience in procurement and contract negotiations.

You have an appropriate university/college education or knowledge acquired in a way that we assess as equivalent, and you have knowledge and experience of working according to ITIL.

OTHER

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted prior to a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
