Security Coordinator for the Service Department

You appreciate structure. And you are full of ideas. Just like us.

Here at the service department, we are responsible for two essential community services. One is to provide nutritious meals to relevant operations every day of the week, year-round. The other is to ensure that the city hall functions as intended and planned. Both operations must work well in everyday situations, crises, and in the highest state of readiness.

As a security coordinator, you will work alongside the department head and other colleagues from an all-risk and threat perspective within operational security. You are responsible for implementing, developing, and maintaining structures for protection and surveillance, continuity planning, and protection against both antagonistic and non-antagonistic events, such as fire, attacks, vandalism, and handling of PDV. A central part of the job is to prepare the operations for heightened readiness based on central guidelines, not least food preparedness. You will also be responsible for contact with the security company and its staff on-site at the city hall reception. Furthermore, you will participate in or lead projects, procurements, and deliver on specific assignments. You are expected to actively contribute to method development, conduct analyses and risk assessments, and suggest improvements. The position involves close dialogue with those who work in the city hall or use meal service services. You will continuously collaborate with the central functions that focus on city-wide operational security work.

We want you to have an academic degree, YH education, or equivalent knowledge assessed as equivalent by the employer. A very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish is required, as the work involves drafting governing documents. Good pedagogical skills and the ability to communicate operational security issues to colleagues and managers with different professional backgrounds are essential. Experience in relevant areas such as crisis preparedness, crisis management, civil defense, physical security, personal safety, systematic fire protection, risk and vulnerability analyses, insurance protection, training and exercises, and continuity planning is required. A good legal understanding and experience of legislation such as the Local Government Act, the Public Procurement Act, the Camera Surveillance Act, or the Act (2010:294) on security checks at public meetings in municipalities and regions is also necessary. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in conducting effective operational security work in an organization with public access, such as hotels, hospitals, municipal buildings, meeting or conference facilities. The work requires a well-balanced strategy where security, accessibility, and openness interact, especially at open meetings where the public is welcome.

We believe that you, as an applicant, are structured and analytical with the ability to see larger contexts and foresee the long-term consequences of actions. You are stable and remain calm in demanding situations. You are collaborative and build good relationships both internally and externally. You are ambitious, set high goals for yourself, and work purposefully to achieve them. Your curiosity drives you to stay updated in your profession through active monitoring of your surroundings and trend spotting. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities to meet the needs of the service department and to complement the existing work group's dynamics.

We offer you not only one of Sweden's most important jobs but also a secure employment with a collective agreement that secures your salary, pension, insurance coverage, vacation, and other important benefits – for a sustainable work life both on and off the job. You will have the opportunity for some remote work, generous wellness benefits, a bike benefit, vacation exchange, flexible working hours, and membership in the municipal employees' sports association (SKIF). You also have the opportunity to become a member of the engaged art association Bladoram for an individual fee. We offer discounted annual passes to the swimming hall and proximity to the Ursvik exercise area with running, skiing, and MTB trails. For cyclists, there are good bike paths, storage, changing rooms, and showers. In our bright, modern, and activity-based city hall, collaboration, creativity, and learning are promoted in everyday life. With excellent communications via subway, tram, commuter trains, and buses, we create conditions for a balance between work, health, and leisure.
