We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Product Analyst to join our team and help drive our growth through data-driven decisions. Fishbrain has over more than 10 years of user generated data from almost 20 million users.

As a Product Analyst you will play a critical role in analyzing data and providing actionable insights to support business growth and enhance user retention. You will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and development teams to interpret trends, create reports, and recommend strategies that will drive user acquisition and optimize retention efforts. Your ability to understand both the unit economics and the needs of our user base will be key in continuing to shape Fishbrain’s success.

Your daily work will involve

  • Analyzing user data to identify trends, behaviors, and opportunities for growth or business optimization.
  • Developing data models to forecast future trends and identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Creating and deliver ad-hoc analytical reports on key topics as well as data-driven recommendations on strategies related to (e.g., app performance, user acquisition, retention and engagement).
  • Developing hypotheses and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Product and Marketing) to validate them during project launches through methods like multivariable testing.
  • Supporting Fishbrain in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and setting targets for business growth and user engagement.
  • Helping create a continuous feedback loop by analyzing the impact of implemented changes on user behavior and business performance.

What we are fishing for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a product-driven environment or a subscription-based business model with at least 8 years of work related experience in analytical discovery processes.
  • Strong experience in analyzing data using tools like Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Tableau, Power BI, DWH Google BigQuery or other platforms for data analysis.
  • Expertise in data visualization to present data in a way that is easy to understand and interpret for different stakeholders.
  • Experience with customer acquisition and retention metrics and strategies. Particularly valuable if in the context of subscription-based apps.
  • Ability to proactively identify business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.

  • Bonus but not required
  • Knowledge of the outdoor or enthusiast industry, including trends, user behavior, and community engagement, would be an advantage.
