Lawyer with experience in litigation processes
Are you a lawyer with experience in litigation processes? We can offer you an exciting job within our debt collection operations where you will have the opportunity to develop alongside engaged colleagues while contributing to significant societal benefit.
The Process Unit is one of four units in the Administrative Law Department at the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency. Currently, the unit has 16 employees, of which 14 work in debt collection. The debt collection group consists of seven case handlers and seven lawyers. The unit is also responsible for the Agency's litigation in the field of environmental law, where two lawyers work. The debt collection operations involve collecting claims on behalf of over 160 other authorities. Our operations require special knowledge of how state claims should be handled. We are now looking for a lawyer to strengthen our debt collection operations.
You will be based in our welcoming office in Gamla Stan, Stockholm, where we work flexibly both in the office and with the possibility of remote work.
The role of the debt collection lawyer
Your tasks will involve independently investigating and conducting litigation processes in general courts as a representative of the state. The work entails a lot of contact with clients, courts, other authorities, opposing parties, etc. An important part of the work as a lawyer is also to support the debt collection case handlers by contributing to the development of work routines and conducting training, etc. Some administrative legal tasks, such as handling referrals, may also occur.
Are you our future colleague?
We are looking for someone who has:
- a Swedish law degree (jur. kand./juristexamen) (180/270 credits)
- court clerk experience from a district court or experience working as a legal representative in litigation processes in general courts
It is advantageous to have:
- experience in debt collection operations
- experience working in a government agency and/or law firm
Personal qualities
As a person, you are independent, meticulous, driven, and take initiative. You are engaged, have excellent collaboration skills, are service-oriented, and have a desire to take and receive significant personal responsibility for the execution of your tasks. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and can quickly adapt to new tasks and working methods. To succeed in this role, you need to have good judgment and the ability to communicate with all employees, our clients, and opposing parties.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
