Operations Controller for the Development Unit

The Development Unit is responsible for management, governance, and development of public authority operations and service delivery within individual and family care, support and services for people with disabilities, as well as open leisure activities for children and youth.

Your role

As an operations controller in the development unit, you play a key role in planning, coordinating, steering, and developing the operations. You will work both operationally and strategically to ensure high quality and good results. In your role, you will:

  • Be a close support to the department head in governance and follow-up of operations.
  • Work on planning and following up on quality, conducting analyses, and performing environmental monitoring.
  • Lead and participate in projects, investigations, and develop processes for increased efficiency.
  • Identify risks and development opportunities, and produce well-founded decision-making materials.
  • Write service statements, develop operational plans, and follow up on results at the committee level.
  • Contribute to the development of the department through a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Actively work with systematic quality work and improvement work in collaboration with unit managers and other key functions.
  • Participate actively in crisis management and crisis support organization.

As part of the unit, you will also be responsible for environmental monitoring, participate in projects and development work, and serve as a knowledge resource for others within the administration.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a relevant university degree.
  • Has at least three years of experience in strategic work within public administration in social work and has previous managerial experience in the operational area.
  • Is analytical, structured, and has a quality-oriented approach.
  • Has experience in operational governance, follow-up, and analysis at a strategic level.
  • Is accustomed to giving presentations and writing clear reports.
  • Has good collaboration skills and thrives in a role that involves both independent work and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Has experience in change management and documented good results in development work.
  • Has good knowledge of relevant systems such as E-doc, 2c8, and ILS, as well as good IT skills, including the Office suite.
  • Is interested in digitalization and information security and has a desire to contribute to development in the area.
