Philanthropy Manager Wanted at Plan International Sweden
Plan International Sweden is seeking a Philanthropy Manager to build and lead our philanthropy operations. This role is crucial for establishing a sustainable revenue stream by managing the entire cycle of major donations from both individuals and foundations. We are looking for someone who sees opportunities and is motivated to perform at a high level, who enjoys taking responsibility and working independently. Your ability to turn ideas into action is an important part of the role, as is your commitment to contributing to the organization's success. You will be part of our newly formed Business Development Team, which also includes corporate affairs, and report directly to the Head of Fundraising and Communication. You will also work closely with other colleagues to maximize revenue and identify new opportunities to fund our important work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for philanthropy for Plan International Sweden.
- Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities for philanthropic engagement through Plan International.
- Build and manage a portfolio of over 30 donors, both individuals and foundations, and create long-term relationships.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential donors and funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify suitable projects, create compelling presentations for potential donors, and ensure high-quality reporting to donors.
- Develop and execute tailored donor journeys that position Plan International Sweden towards potential donors and strengthen relationships with existing donors.
- Ensure that all philanthropic activities comply with laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Actively participate in Plan International's global philanthropy network to exchange best practices and new opportunities.

- Systematic Approach: Uses a methodical and systematic approach to analyze, plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ethical Awareness: High integrity and ability to ensure that all activities comply with laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
We Expect You to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication, social sciences, or other relevant education for the role.
- A solid network within the philanthropy sector.
- At least five years of experience working in philanthropy in a similar role.
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with donors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in project management and strategic planning.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period starting immediately. The employment rate is 100%, corresponding to 37.5 hours/week. You will be based at our office in Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm.
