Are you interested in electricity market issues and want to help develop the balancing model for the future electricity market? At Svenska kraftnät, you will play a key role in shaping and managing the regulations for balancing and stakeholder roles, while collaborating with experts and contributing to an efficient and sustainable electricity market. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence both strategy and operational processes in a dynamic environment.
About the Position
We are looking for two electricity market developers for the Balancing Model unit, which currently consists of six employees. The unit is responsible for developing and managing the regulations and associated stakeholder roles for balancing, with the aim of ensuring an efficient and robust balancing of the electricity system. The work involves investigating and driving issues related to market design for the balancing market, concerning stakeholder roles and taking into account relevant legal frameworks. The work is conducted nationally, regionally, and across Europe, and you will have close collaboration both internally and with external stakeholders.
We welcome both junior and senior applicants. The role will be shaped based on your experiences and interests, with tasks that vary over time.
Examples of tasks that may occur:
- Translating European legislation on balancing and electricity markets into well-functioning market rules in dialogue with market participants
- Working with and further developing processes for managing agreements and relevant legal documents with stakeholders.
- Supporting the work with the economic processes for fees and economic incentive models.
- Representing Svenska kraftnät in national, regional, and European cooperation forums, driving development in accordance with our view on good market design and issues important for actors active in Sweden, sharing experiences, and working towards agreements.
About You
Requirements:
As a person, you are structured and have a good ability to plan and organize your work effectively. You are analytical and can understand and navigate complex issues from multiple perspectives and long-term goals. In collaborations, you are solution-oriented and proactive, which allows you to easily build and maintain relationships. Since we work in a dynamic environment where conditions can sometimes be unclear, it is important that you are flexible and can adapt to changes.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Furthermore, you have a Master's degree or equivalent from a university or college with a focus on technology, economics, or law, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. (Requirement for completed degree when employment starts). You have relevant experience in the energy sector either through your education or work. Your ability to understand and express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, is very good.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of:
- legal frameworks or handling legal texts
- work experience in the electricity market
- process-oriented work
Good to Know
- The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg or Gothenburg
- Opportunity for remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
- Travel may occur. Usually about once a month, somewhat more if placed in Gothenburg
