Your Workplace

Vårdcentralen Kil has nearly 12,000 registered patients and about 35 employees. We are a well-functioning health center with experienced and dedicated staff. We are a wonderful team that truly enjoys working together and cares about each other!

The health center is located in a scenic area about 20 kilometers north of Karlstad and has good transport connections, with both bus and train options available. You will work in a team with doctors (district, ST, and AT doctors), nursing assistants, medical secretaries, foot care therapists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and janitors. The health center also has physiotherapy services, BMM, BVC, and a laboratory.

We work from a health-promoting perspective regarding the work environment, offering wellness grants and scheduled wellness time.

Your Responsibilities

As a district nurse, you will perform typical tasks within primary care such as independent outpatient work and telephone advice. In case of acute care, our approach is based on a cross-professional acute team. We also offer specialist nurse clinics for diabetes, heart failure, asthma/COPD, and dementia. We supervise students from various educational levels. We use the Cosmic journal system.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed district nurse or nurse, preferably with further education in diabetes, asthma/COPD, or dementia, but this is not a requirement.

As a person, you are social and outgoing with a good ability to build relationships and interact positively with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Working in a team and collaborating is something we highly value, as well as having good self-awareness and independence. You are flexible and stable, able to adapt to changing circumstances and handle stressful situations.
