The Day Rehabilitation Clinic (Dagrehab) consists of a team of competent and dedicated physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and a coordinator who work together with doctors, social workers, speech therapists, and dietitians from the VO Medicine Kristianstad. Dagrehab provides geriatric day rehabilitation for individuals with acquired neurological diseases and collaborates closely with specialized home rehabilitation according to Early Supported Discharge (ESD).

Dagrehab is part of the VO Rehabilitation Kristianstad, which is responsible for rehabilitation efforts in all inpatient departments at the Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK). The operation participates in team and day care activities primarily within medicine and pediatrics. Additionally, specialized outpatient care is provided in medicine, orthopedics, and surgery, which includes approximately 18,000 visits per year. Within VO Rehabilitation, we are about 65 employees distributed among occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming an engaged and structured person with good logistical skills to the position of medical secretary with a coordinator assignment for the daily operations of Dagrehab. The position plays a central role in communication and collaboration with both internal and external parties, including the patient and their relatives.

The job responsibilities include handling referrals and assessing referrals with the team, managing waiting lists, scheduling and calling patients, booking medical transportation, planning admissions, discharges, and team meetings, as well as planning stroke school. Administration in Melior and PASiS is also part of the role. Direct communication with patients and their relatives via phone, 1177, and on-site at Dagrehab is a central part of the role.

There is also the possibility of having your own area of responsibility based on experience, interest, and the needs of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Administration 80p KY or 400p YH, or equivalent approved medical/doctor secretary education. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology. Since we work in Melior and PASiS, it is advantageous if you have previous experience with these systems. As Region Skåne is transitioning to SDV, we would like you to have training in disease classification.

As a person, you are driven, flexible, proactive, solution-oriented, and have a professional approach. You have an excellent ability to plan and prioritize your work. It is important that you can plan the daily operations ahead and identify and solve problems as they arise.

We value that you have good collaboration and communication skills, as the daily work is largely characterized by teamwork and cooperation with other parties. Previous experience in stroke, neurology, or rehabilitative units is a plus. With us, everyone contributes to development and continuous improvement work.
