The water and sewage operations in Skurup Municipality include drinking water production, while wastewater treatment is conducted in cooperation with neighboring municipalities Ystad and Trelleborg. The municipality manages distribution facilities independently. The operation of the pipeline network is primarily handled with the help of an operational contractor.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a person interested in working with our administration in the Water and Sewage Unit in Skurup. You will be part of a small group with close collaboration. We help each other in a cross-functional way and utilize each other's expertise in a non-prestigious work environment.

The work mainly involves financial administration such as invoicing and managing accounts receivable. We use the programs BFUS, MFU, W3D3, and Raindance. Experience working with these systems or similar billing systems is considered an advantage. Other computer systems used include the Office suite and various mapping systems to gather information.

In your role, you will handle common customer service inquiries from citizens regarding water and sewage, invoices, and subscriptions. You will communicate via phone and email with citizens as well as with our technicians and other municipal units. It is important that you can communicate information and explain it in an easily understandable way, both verbally and in writing. The work also includes general administrative tasks such as archiving, record-keeping, and registry maintenance.

You will have an exciting role in a wide range of water-related issues during a period of change in the structure of operations. With a small organization facing many projects, you will actively influence the development of water services in the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a calm, reliable, meticulous, structured person who wants to develop in your role. You are interested in learning new things and deepening your knowledge in relevant areas.

• Have experience working with BFUS, MFU, or similar billing programs
• Have a good understanding of finance, either through education or work experience
• Have knowledge and experience in customer service and administrative work
• Can work independently but also in a team
• Are structured and take responsibility for your tasks
• Are relationship-building, communicative, and collaborative
• Communicate very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Actively work to contribute to a good work environment and atmosphere

The Skurup Water and Sewage organization is small, which means you will perform all tasks, big and small. You are self-driven and used to taking initiative and solving tasks that arise. You are attentive to the customer's needs in advice and guidance.
