To meet the increasing need for psychosocial support for students, Härryda municipality is expanding the number of school social workers in primary schools. The goal is to ensure that all students have access to the necessary support to complete their studies.

Skinnefjällskolan is located in Mölnlycke and is a F-3 school with approximately 230 students. The school has good bus connections to Borås and Gothenburg.

Our organization is the foundation of the school. We work with three staff members around each class: a primary school teacher, a preschool teacher, and a leisure teacher. The work team operates on a shared responsibility basis and is responsible for the students throughout the day, creating a great sense of security for our students and guardians.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The school social worker is part of the school's student health team along with the principal, special educator, school nurse, special teacher, and school psychologist. The work at the school is primarily promotional and preventive and is based on all EHT staff having close collaboration with teachers and especially with students. You are employed by the principal at the school and are part of a group with all the municipality's school social workers who have regular meetings led by a coordinator. You will have regular supervision with an external supervisor.

You will work at the organizational, group, and individual levels through collaboration in the student health team, conversations with students, preventive work in classes, contact with guardians, and advice and guidance to teachers.

You will also collaborate with external partners such as BUP, social services, and UPH.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education degree that we consider equivalent, as well as experience working as a school social worker.

You have tools and methods to work proactively, preventively, and remedially with social relations among students aged 6-9 years. You have a systematic approach to your work with good structure and the ability to document important processes.

You contribute suggestions for promoting good mental health and social environments in the classrooms. Your role also includes working in classrooms with various themes or as needs arise. You actively work to prevent conflicts and support teachers in finding solutions in everyday life. You have good digital skills and stay updated in the field.
