Do you thrive in varied and interesting tasks that require you to combine expert knowledge with an understanding of the whole? Do you have experience in qualified investigative or legislative work from the Government Offices or another government agency and want to work on issues related to financial assistance within the framework of a comprehensive grant reform? Then this position may be of interest to you. We are now looking for a case officer responsible for issues related to financial assistance for the Unit for Social Services and Disability Policy.

The unit works with social service issues within individual and family care as well as care for the elderly and people with disabilities. The unit is responsible for coordinating children's rights policy, disability policy, and certain social insurance benefits.
The group for family care and children's rights is responsible for issues related to domestic violence and sheltered housing, honor-related violence and oppression, homelessness, substance abuse, and financial assistance. The group also works with children's rights issues and the coordination of the Convention on the Rights of the Child within the Government Offices, as well as issues related to parental support and international adoptions.
For the current position, the primary focus is on working with issues related to financial assistance, activity requirements within social assistance, and increased incentives for work. Other issues within the group's area of responsibility may also arise.
The tasks are varied and primarily involve drafting proposals for legislative council memoranda and bills, as well as analyzing and compiling materials for the government's positions within the unit's areas of responsibility. However, areas and tasks may change over time.

Your Background
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in a relevant field, e.g., law, combined with current and relevant experience working within the Government Offices or another relevant government agency. You also have very good skills in oral and written communication in Swedish and English.
Experience in qualified investigative or legislative work is highly meritorious. Experience working within the Government Offices is also meritorious. Furthermore, good knowledge of financial assistance and a solid understanding of the requirements for work and the conditions in a politically governed operation are advantageous.

You should have a very good ability to independently plan, coordinate, and drive processes and be able to take your own initiative. You should be able to work under time pressure, be persistent, and handle several different types of tasks simultaneously. You should be quality-conscious, judicious, structured, and at the same time flexible.

We offer 1-2 positions; these are fixed-term employment for about 1 year, starting as soon as possible.
A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
