Slättäng School is located just outside central Kristianstad. We are a K-9 school with approximately 500 students. We work to create a safe school with high goal achievement and good quality for our students.

Our goal is to create secure and knowledge-thirsty students who are well prepared for life. We do this by seeing and meeting each individual and allowing everyone to develop and grow according to their own conditions. Of course, we work in teams with different professional groups and competencies.

The school's premises are modern and well-equipped with digital learning tools for students and staff. We collaborate with Kristianstad University by having our teacher educators in the field (LUF:are) receive teacher students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching based on all students' levels, focusing on the best interests of the student.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep yourself updated on events in the world and the everyday lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way, you reflect on the practical work and together with colleagues, you drive development work in the team/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a qualified teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach grades 4-9 in the subject of textiles and another subject in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for someone with subject knowledge at the university level in the above-mentioned subject. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical training at the university level. We also welcome experience from educational activities.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a conducive working environment, and a desire to learn. Furthermore, you also have the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You have engagement, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and interest in other cultures.

A success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both inside and outside the school. Furthermore, you are a confident pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the team's working methods for continuous development.

Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, responsive, and well acquainted with and uphold the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having the ability to analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

To be considered for your application, you must attach your diploma and teaching license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you who are unqualified can be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
