About the School Area

The Rebbelberga school area is a meeting place for learning aimed at children in grades F-6. Here, it is fun to learn new things, and learning has a lifelong perspective. Our work has a clear focus on the fact that learning develops when one feels joy and community. Value-based issues are at the center, and strengthening children to want, be able to, and dare is of utmost importance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their mission and wants to make a difference every day. You will have a leading role in a dedicated team working to create a safe and supportive environment for students. Your mission involves assisting the school with special educational expertise at all organizational levels and contributing to school development. You are expected to support our students' learning and knowledge acquisition as well as take responsibility for working with their well-being. It is of utmost importance that you create trusting relationships and are present in your role.

The main job responsibilities include:

  • Mapping students' and groups' needs
  • Analyzing the school's work in relation to students' learning
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions
  • Actively participating in pedagogical research and using and disseminating research findings and methods to strengthen students' learning
  • Guiding and training educational staff
  • Planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing adapted teaching for students with significant needs for special support, including NPF, autism, and behavioral issues.
  • Participating in the school's student health team
  • Participating in the school's systematic quality work
  • Coordinating student health matters
  • Collaborating and cooperating with other actors in student health
  • Providing management support to the principal regarding operational development

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a primary school teacher education and a special educator degree. You should also have experience working in primary school and with children and adolescents with NPF, autism, and behavioral issues. Experience of successful work with children and adolescents with challenging behaviors is an advantage. You should be accustomed to external contacts and collaborations with various community agencies such as habilitation, BUP, and social services. You possess good leadership qualities and have the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

As a special educator, you have the ability to consider both the individual student's needs and the group's opportunities. We offer a stimulating and challenging work environment together with engaged and competent colleagues as well as support from an experienced and committed team. At the school, we work together in both grade teams and work teams where we collaborate and support each other. The security in your professional role is combined with clarity and the ability to set boundaries. Good computer skills are a requirement.
