At the middle school in Tollarp, we have two tracks for each grade with one mentor per class. Since we have many students starting with us, you will become part of a team together with two other teachers in grade 4 this fall, where you will be both a mentor for a class and responsible for teaching in science and English.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both in and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching based on all students' levels, focusing on the best interests of the student.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep yourself updated on events in the world and the everyday lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way, you reflect on the practical work and together with colleagues, you drive development work in the workgroup/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can teach but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a qualified teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching qualification with authorization to teach grades 4-6 in the subjects of science and English in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the above subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at the university level. We prefer that you have experience in teaching, preferably within primary school, and have worked with children/young people aged 6-12 years.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a conducive working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. We would like you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and have the ability to help students handle conflicts that arise. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is influenced by the outside world.

A success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a confident pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on set goals.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and well acquainted with and live up to the ethical principles for teachers and have the ability to analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

In order for us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching qualification. If there are no qualified teachers, you who are unqualified can be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
