About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning and following up on teaching in collaboration with your colleagues.

The position involves teaching German in grades 6-9. Your role also includes mentoring for grade 7. As a mentor, you support students in the school situation and coordinate relevant activities and contacts around the students.

Students use Chromebooks, and we plan and communicate in Google Workspace for Education and Unikum. In Google, students' assignments are located, but here students also work on tasks, presentations, and reports in various ways. It is important that you see digitalization as a natural part of your work as a teacher.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for a licensed primary school teacher with qualifications to teach German in grades 6-9.

We expect you to see students from a holistic perspective and to have an engaged approach in your interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. You are confident in your interactions with all students and at the same time clear in your leadership role in teaching. Good collaboration skills, experience working in teams, and an interest in driving pedagogical development work are also important abilities. About the Workplace

At Östratornskolan, you are welcomed by a secure teaching team with strong cohesion. We have just over 500 students and offer many opportunities for collaboration and collegial learning in a 4-9 perspective. Our students are motivated and interested in learning and developing, achieving good results. At Östratornskolan, there is room for everyone to grow.

Together, we utilize both students' and educators' different competencies and work with a focus on development. To be able to see the students and provide the best support, our special educators and special teachers work closely with students and teachers. In addition to special educators and special teachers, our student health team includes a counselor, social educator, school nurse, and school psychologist. The EHT meets regularly and works both preventively/promotively and remedially. A school librarian, ICT educator, and career counselor are also involved in the work to increase students' goal fulfillment.

The systematic quality work is close to operations and is based on the school's common development areas. Here we work together to make good even better. The school has various responsibility assignments, such as safety councils, ICT councils, and focus groups to support teachers in increasing safety and equity for students.

As a teacher with us, you work in subject teams for grades 7-9 but also together for grades 4-9. A common reflective practice permeates everyday life in the organization, and we are happy to share our experiences. Discussion groups with pedagogical discussions based on formative assessment allow us to connect research and proven experience to teaching. “Learning now and in the future” is important to us.

In the child and school administration, we work to create equity and good conditions for all children and students in our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to achieve their goals.
