Special Education Teacher at Villaskolan

RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on analyses at the individual, group, and organizational level, you will work in a guiding capacity with a focus on groups and organizations. You will actively contribute to qualified discussions regarding learning situations and the development of the school environment together with the principal, work teams, and student health teams. Furthermore, you will support educators in structuring their work to facilitate students' learning situations. With a salutogenic approach, you will contribute to health-promoting and preventive work.

Working with issues related to inclusion and core values is a natural part of your daily work. You will work to remove obstacles and difficulties in the learning environment, develop alternative learning environments and learning tools.

In your work, you will create relationships both internally and externally characterized by mutual respect and trust, and you will meet students where they are. You will engage, inspire, and stimulate students to learn and take responsibility, as well as lead and organize work to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and collaboration. In a systematic way, you will reflect on and evaluate practical work both individually and together with others. Your responsibilities will also include planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have a teaching certification with the authority to teach grades 1-3 in primary school. The work also requires that you have a special education degree and experience of 3 years of well-rated work as a teacher and/or preschool teacher. You have a well-rated ability to guide and experience of teaching as a teacher in grades 1-3 in primary school is an advantage.

Furthermore, a good ability to implement the organization's mission regarding students in need of special support and knowledge to adapt working methods and approaches to different groups' and individuals' conditions is required. Of course, you are well acquainted with current special education research and have good knowledge regarding alternative learning tools. Being able to handle digital compensatory alternative learning tools is an advantage.

To practice a situationally adapted learning and leadership style that is based on understanding students' situations and values and meeting them where they are is something you handle with ease. You create relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust and can engage, inspire, stimulate, and empower students to learn and take responsibility.

You have good knowledge of and ability to work based on current governing documents. You can systematically reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and with others. In the role, you need to be able to use digital technology as a tool to search for information, plan, communicate, present, and document.

In order for us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching certification. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you present an extract from the police record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
