Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for someone who wants to be a part of us at Bergaskolan and who wants to work in the important role of a teaching assistant. We seek someone who, in close collaboration with other educators, will work in groups and with students with neuropsychiatric variations and special needs. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop, structure, and implement the educational work around our students with special needs. You will work closely with colleagues in our smaller groups as well as in the classrooms. With us, you contribute to ensuring that children have a positive, meaningful, and developing working environment.

Qualifications

You who are applying have completed your upper secondary education. If it is from the child and leisure program, we see it as an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked as a teaching assistant, particularly with a focus on middle school. If you have experience working with students in need of special support, we also see that as an advantage. To be able to deliver in your role, you need to have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and knowledge of digital tools. You are creative and can adapt your approach based on the individual student's needs or the needs of the student group. You make the work fun, inspiring, and challenging. We expect you to see each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students. You create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. It is necessary that you have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

About the Workplace

Bergaskolan is a school with all the facilities needed in a F-9 school. Here you will find a large, bright dining hall, home economics classrooms, a special science building, and a library where students have access to knowledgeable staff, newspapers, magazines, and both new and old literary works as well as factual books in various subjects. Bergaskolan has an auditorium with a stage and space for 150 people. We conduct all our sports in Limhamn's sports hall. Bergaskolan is located in Limhamn, close to the city center, green areas, and the sea. Bergaskolan is a school with determined and motivated students, which is evident in the good results they achieve. The school has a stable and knowledgeable teaching staff who understand the value of setting demands and having high expectations.
