The school's social pedagogy program is a two-year vocational training at the post-secondary level. We have a high demand for applicants and engaged participants of various ages and backgrounds. After completing the program, our participants often find jobs at the National Board of Institutional Care, in HVB, or in primary schools. Currently, three full-time teachers are running the program together. The team has good cohesion and high engagement. For us, the quality of education is important, and our school is a member of the BALSAM organization, which ensures the quality of social pedagogy programs.

We are looking for someone who has a post-secondary education relevant to the position. This could be a degree in social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. It is an advantage if you also have a folk high school teacher's degree. When it comes to personal qualities, we are looking for a colleague who has a strong commitment to their own teaching but who also wants to contribute to the overall development of the program.

Albins Folk High School has its roots in the labor movement. Studies about society and our ability to influence the regional and global environment are part of the school's profile. Values such as solidarity, humanity, and justice are fundamental, as are questions about how we can change the world - socially, economically, and ecologically for sustainable development both locally and globally.

Our single largest activity is the General Course, which helps young adults grow as individuals while enabling them to qualify for further education at universities or colleges. In addition to the General Course, we offer Introductory Courses, the Social Pedagogy Program, and Movement Education for our member organizations.
