Fryshuset is looking for a Manager for Fryshuset's open leisure activity Fryschillet in Hammarby Sjöstad. Fryschillet is an open activity aimed at young people in middle school and high school, providing a place for them to meet, socialize, engage, and develop within their interests and passions. The activities are based on Fryshuset's values, and we believe in the inherent power of young people!

The leisure center has a particular focus on and runs separate activities for young people with disabilities as well as those curious about LGBTQ+ issues. As a manager, you will also lead the holiday program Lovely Days. Fryschillet is closed during school holidays, and during that time, the Lovely Days program takes over. This involves close collaboration with other Fryshuset activities, and the target group is expanded to include young people aged 10-20.

The role of Manager means that you are responsible for the operational management of the activity and have a leadership responsibility for the staff. The role is broad, and your responsibilities span several areas within the operation. The work is varied and includes, among other things:

  • Leading the daily work of the activity, including planning, implementation, and preparation
  • Working with young people in the activity
  • Participating and being involved in the work with the management team and anchoring and working with the staff group in set directions
  • Supporting staff in the activity and being available during emergencies and needs
  • Ensuring that there is an activity plan where young people's wishes are guiding
  • Ensuring that the activity is marketed
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Having overall responsibility for making the premises attractive, safe, and welcoming

Who are you? We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people. You are engaged, driven, and social. You are responsible, solution-oriented, and have a great creative and pedagogical ability. It is essential that you have good leadership qualities, are well organized, and can work in a structured way with both planning and implementation. You appreciate varied work and enjoy driving development work towards clearly set goals.

We also see that you have experience working in open leisure activities and an understanding of the leisure center's mission and challenges.

Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience working with young people. Leisure leader education or other relevant education for the job.

At least 2 years of leadership experience from open leisure activities or similar operations.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in the non-profit sector
  • Education in leadership
  • Driving license (B)

Start date:
As soon as possible. We apply ongoing selection.

The position is a permanent employment with a scope of 100% (40 hours/week) starting with a 6-month probationary period.

The position includes work one Saturday a month.

The position is covered by a collective agreement between Fremia and Kommunal.
