About Unika Nysättravägen

Nysättravägen group home in Södertälje. The group home is located in an area close to nature. Residents at the group home have Prader-Willi syndrome & autism.

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.

Qualifications
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
  • Experience in healthcare and social services.
  • High school education such as child and leisure program, health and care program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.
Employment conditions

Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours: Rolling night shift schedule. Start date: By agreement, we look positively on if you can start soon. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
