The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who, with strength-based working methods, provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner.

One of our colleagues is now retiring, and we also need to expand with an additional position.
Therefore, we are now looking for two family therapists for Open Care Children and Youth at the Social Administration. With us, you work closely with citizens and have the opportunity for a varied job.
As a family therapist in our operations, you work with change processes in families with various types of issues such as lack of care, personal behavior, and criminality. You will be part of the Family Therapist Team that receives assignments from our investigation units. You are responsible for offering family therapy towards set treatment goals and documenting the work according to applicable documentation regulations.
Your main task is to ensure that children, young people, and their families receive individually tailored family therapy. Our goal is to make the child's/young person's needs visible and met, as well as to strengthen relationships and communication within the family. To ensure that parents feel strong in their parental role and that the family receives tools and knowledge so that they can handle future difficulties themselves. You will conduct both treatment/change work in the family's home and in other environments depending on the family's needs.
We work in a team-based and flexible manner together with the responsible social worker, planning and following up on interventions based on the family's needs. We work based on Signs of Safety and collaborate with the family's private network as well as various internal and external partners to create a positive change for the child/young person and their family together. In some cases, we work closely with investigators already in the investigation phase.
We have annual working hours, and based on the assignment and the family's needs, you may need to work evenings and occasional weekends.

We are a dedicated team of employees who together possess great competence and experience. We in open care for children and youth are facing the task of developing our treatment work based on the new Social Services Act, which means you have good opportunities to influence how we will work with the transition to the new Social Services Act. You will also be offered professional development, regular team meetings, reflection time, collegial case supervision, and external guidance. We have a 39-hour workweek and annual working hours. Some form of remote work is possible.
We collaborate through sports, with opportunities to do yoga together, play football, or engage in other fun activities to increase collaboration between the units in the Social Administration. As a new employee, you will undergo an orientation program.
You Who Are Applying to Us
For the position, you must be a social worker or have an equivalent degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. You also need to have previous experience in family therapy work.
Other requirements for the position:
- Driver's license B
Meritorious:
- Experience documenting in Life Care
- Knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety
- Knowledge and experience of MI (Motivational Interviewing)
- Knowledge and experience of working with families with younger children
- Relevant further education, for example, in trauma, interaction, and attachment
- Knowledge of child development
As a person, you need to have good collaboration skills, both with colleagues, clients, and private and professional networks. We see that you have an easy time creating alliances. You have a humble and respectful approach, are clear, communicative, confident in yourself, and can easily understand problems and questions. You are curious about new methods, working methods, and are not afraid to try new things. You are used to expressing yourself in writing in Swedish and do so in a legally secure manner.
