Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's autonomy and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant requires a high ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

The client lives in their own apartment in their parents' basement. They require assistance around the clock and should not be left unattended by an assistant. They are in a wheelchair and need help from their assistant with everything from transfers, communication, and assistance.

Their interests include friends, movies, museums, and watching films.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with an 18-year-old boy residing in Bromma
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• has previous experience working as a personal assistant
• can work in the summer and come in earlier in the spring for training

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a summer temporary job covering weeks 27-32, with varied working hours – either working 8-19 or 19-8 (active night). You must be able to come in earlier for training and preferably start this already on weekends or evenings during the spring.

Position 1: 25.5 (63%) hours per week on average.

Position 2: 22 hours (55%) on average per week.

Hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A requirement for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
