CENTRAL STUDENT HEALTH is Ekerö municipality's central child and student health service. In our organization, school nurses and school doctors, psychologists, speech and special educators, and school social workers are active. We are also responsible for Ekerö's open preschools. Within the organization, there is also an administrative group consisting of the head of operations, deputy heads of operations, and school superintendent. Central student health belongs to the Department of Children and Education. We value diversity in the organization, and Central student health is an HBTQI-certified workplace. Job Description

We are looking for a school social worker to become part of our team of social workers, which consists of seven social workers. If you are a trained social worker and have an interest in helping to create the best possible conditions for children's and young people's learning, social development, and health, then you will fit well with us!

The school social worker's tasks include contributing your psychosocial expertise in collaboration with other professionals within student health and in cooperation with school management, other school staff, students, and parents, with the goal of creating a holistic view around the student/family and the entire learning environment.

Most schools in Ekerö municipality work with a structured student health meeting model, EHM, and being an active part of that work is an important task. You will work in primary schools of varying sizes and with different age groups. All school social workers have regular meetings and supervision together.

The student health services are primarily of a promotional and preventive nature. You will work with guidance and consultation to staff, work in class and groups together with teachers, and provide counseling support to children/youth.

Your work will also include conducting school social investigations at the request of the principal and social assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school. Some training for staff and collaboration with various partners is also included in the assignment.

Qualifications

To succeed in the assignment:

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and we prefer that you have experience in both school social work and work within social services.

You need to have an outgoing working style and be responsive to needs at the individual, group, and organizational levels, as well as have a particular commitment and interest in working with children and young people in need of special support and their parents.

The work requires you to be collaborative, but you also need to be independent in your work. It is important to have a good ability to prioritize within the assignment and to be able to delineate tasks in relation to other professions and activities.

You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, and you are familiar with digital tools.

A driver's license and personal car are required for the job.
