Hägersten-Älvsjö group and service housing is looking for support pedagogues.

This is a new role established to strengthen the pedagogical work and develop the methodology in the operations. Your role

As a support pedagogue, you have the overall responsibility for the pedagogical methodology development in the unit and are responsible for ensuring that the pedagogical work is carried out systematically. At the same time, you are involved in everyday work where you collaborate with others in the team to provide users with support in their daily lives based on their wishes and needs. We work from the users' homes and accompany them to, for example, medical appointments and leisure activities. We are continuously working to increase users' influence over the support and services we offer.

Your tasks include:

• developing methods for documentation, mapping, and action plans
• supporting and guiding colleagues in work methodology and pedagogy
• spreading knowledge about how the work with clarifying pedagogy can be shaped
• together with team leaders inspire and ensure that evidence-based methods are used to increase the quality of operations
• contributing to building cognitive support for users

You report to the deputy unit manager and are part of the unit's network for support pedagogues who have regular meetings. Your position is divided into approximately 20 percent for planning and leading the pedagogical work and 80 percent regular work in group or service housing. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends, and in some operations, there is a sleeping on-call duty.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits in pedagogy or disabilities, or a combination thereof
• at least two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• experience with documentation
• knowledge of LSS
• knowledge of low-arousal approaches
• good knowledge of the Swedish language and the ability to communicate well in speech and writing

Meritorious for the position:

• further education in neuropsychiatric disabilities
• health and care program, child and leisure program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• previous experience in leading and/or mentoring others
