Slottsvångsskolan, often referred to as Slottet, is a historic F-9 school in the heart of Helsingborg. Here, the approximately 250 students are at the center in every sense, and our work is based on the key concepts of Knowledge, Care, and Language, as these are the most important prerequisites for each student to develop as much as possible and achieve their goals. The Music Primary School Synkopen is the school for anyone with an interest in music and has a national intake. Music provides a positive learning climate, greater job satisfaction, and creates a sense of community among students of different ages, and the atmosphere at the school is familial and safe. We have about 250 students. Here, talents and skills are developed among students from preschool to ninth grade.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged and inspiring teacher in Science and Technology for our students in grades 7-9. The role primarily involves teaching grades 7-9 in Science subjects and Technology, as well as sharing mentorship for a class in the upper secondary at Slottet. You will be part of the upper secondary team at Slottet but will also teach students at Synkopen, which is located in the same building and with whom we collaborate closely.

With us, you are expected to drive and develop your pedagogical work in a way that inspires students. The school operates based on research regarding language-developing methods, low-affective responses, Positive Behavioral Support in Schools, and Cooperative Learning. We have made some progress, and since we have much left to do, we believe it is important to ensure we have fun together along the way.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in Science and Technology. It is an advantage if you are also qualified in other subjects. Whether you have several years of experience or have recently graduated is not crucial; the most important thing is that you are confident in yourself and your role. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You are a teacher who enjoys helping all students understand and provides them with various strategies to believe in their abilities and develop their knowledge. You have a professional demeanor towards everyone you meet and find it easy to build relationships. The needs of the students come first for you. You care about others and stand up for the school's core values.

Since digital technology is a good tool for making learning accessible, it is also important that you have good digital skills. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. You believe in the value of collegial learning, use assessment for learning to develop your teaching, and take responsibility for the students' knowledge development.
