Accounting Economist for Exciting Authority in Stockholm

Job Description

The Administrative Law Department consists of four units. The department handles administrative law matters, including areas such as environmental law, property law, foundation law, stamp duty, Sweden's division, registration of religious communities, marriage rights, travel guarantees, burial fees, and debt collection. The department also manages administrative and processing tasks for certain government boards.

The department's activities are financed by both grants and fee income. Additionally, fees related to foundation permutation and interpreter authorization are recorded against income titles. We are looking for an accounting economist for a task consisting of two parts. One part involves being responsible for the department's accounting by preparing documentation for receipts and payments, drafting documentation for invoicing, periodically reconciling the department's accounts, etc.

The second part is to support the heads of the Administrative Law Department in their work with budgets, financial analysis, and forecasts. The balance between the two parts will vary throughout the year and will also depend on how the parts develop during the assignment period.

The role is placed in the Process Unit, but the work is carried out across the entire department and in close collaboration with the Finance and Administration Department, which consists of a finance manager and deputy CEO, four economists, two finance administrators, one controller, and two procurement officers, as well as the IT unit and the office service unit.

The tasks require you to be both proactive and supportive in various processes and to be skilled at prioritizing between different tasks. As a person, you are responsible, quality-conscious, and structured.

Who are you?

We see that you meet the following:

• University degree in economics or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of work experience as an accounting economist.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. A high digital maturity is necessary to carry out the assignment.
• Good knowledge of Unit4 ERP.
• Experience in public accounting, and
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

A consulting assignment with our client in Stockholm. The assignment is expected to start in June 2025 and run until 2025-12-15, with a possibility of extension.
