Job Responsibilities

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work on developing, refining, validating, and making available methods for research based on processing, modeling, and analysis of signals in multimodal spoken human and human-computer communication.

The methods will be developed and tested in real research tasks to be generalized and made available in the research infrastructure Språkbanken tal.

Qualifications

Requirements

PhD degree or foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD. This eligibility requirement must be met by the time the employment decision is made
Experience in signal processing and speech analysis
Good knowledge in voice analysis and the characteristics of voice
Good command of spoken and written English as it is required in daily work
Good collaborative skills, but also the ability to work independently

Meritorious

At the closing date of application, no more than three years since the PhD degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD was obtained
Knowledge and experience of working with the voice source (glottis), the vocal tract, and source/filter models
Experience in training deep learning models and other machine learning models of voice
Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality
Teaching ability
