The IT Department is looking for an experienced specialist in server virtualization who will have a leading role in driving and developing our VMware platform.

Who are we

The Application Infrastructure section is part of the IT Infrastructure unit. We who work within the section are responsible for deliveries within Windows / Linux / VMware / Mail infrastructure and are the hub of many of the Employment Service's deliveries. Here we work with the latest technology and a constant development of our environments. We are now strengthening our VMware team with an experienced specialist in server virtualization.

Our goal is set high – we intend to become Sweden's most modern authority!

Job Description

As a specialist in server virtualization, you will work with the operation, management, and incident handling of our extensive VMware environment. You will be active in the development of the platform and drive the work towards set goals in close collaboration with colleagues in the team as well as within the rest of IT infrastructure, platforms, development, and testing. As part of the Employment Service's transformation, where modern technology is a key, you will also have the opportunity to contribute in areas such as container technology and automation.

In this position, you will have the role of product owner, which means you have an overview of the team's delivery and lead the team in the right direction regarding daily operations and management as well as further development within the area. As a product owner, you will support the section's product manager.

The work takes place in an extensive technical environment with many system integrations in a modern IT landscape. Here you get to help shape your own role, find your own place, and create your own contribution within the organization.

Our offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Solna.

Basic qualification requirements

• Several years of relevant documented work experience from recent years of working with VMware solutions in/for larger organizations.
• Deep technical expertise in VMware vSphere and ESXi
• Good knowledge of storage and networking in larger environments
• Experience working with Linux and Windows
• Fluent in Swedish in speech and writing

Other merits for the position

• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience working with NetBackup e.g.: Upgrades and patching
• Experience with advanced Data Center architecture and its components
• Worked in a process-driven organization. We work according to the ITIL framework.
