Senior Backend Developer in Customer Relationship Management

The Digital Customer Flow unit develops the Swedish Public Employment Service's customer meetings. We exist for job seekers, employers, and internal caseworkers. We deliver system support to assess job seekers' needs and develop and make available a plan for them to enter work or studies. We handle and develop tools for monitoring and analyzing job seekers and ensuring efficiency in case management. The Customer Relationship Management area is undergoing a comprehensive technical transformation, and we are now looking for a senior backend developer who wants to help create the technical conditions to ramp up the degree of automated processes. Our systems handle job seekers' experiences, employers' skill needs, and matching.

As a backend developer with us, your primary task is to work with your team to develop new solutions and maintain existing ones. You will be part of an agile system development team that takes responsibility from idea to development and follow-up of digital solutions. We foster a spirit of creativity and strong engagement, where everyone helps and contributes to collective learning. As a developer with us, you work closely with solution architects, product owners, and others in the team, as well as with others in the organization.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a senior backend developer in Java who has extensive experience and knowledge to work independently but is also a skilled team player.

We believe you are a problem-solver who values teamwork and agile working methods. As a person, you are engaged and curious about the needs of the assignment and strive to deliver the best results every time. Being able to quickly adapt to changing conditions and being flexible is fundamental to succeeding in the role. Therefore, you need to be eager to learn new things and further develop both yourself and others.

You have the ability to work in a structured manner and document solution proposals and solutions, as well as take responsibility for the quality of code and operational documentation.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability for the role.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of higher education with a focus on IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
• At least 3 years of experience developing in Java acquired in the last 6 years
• Large and complex system environments
• SQL
• Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning a good ability to communicate in speech and writing

It is a merit if you have experience with:

• Agile development methods, e.g., Scrum
• CI/CD, DevOps, Container technology
• SOAP and REST
• Test automation and tools within test automation
• Tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Openshift, Kubernetes, JBoss/EAP, Spring Boot, ArgoCD, Tekton, Helm, and/or Kustomize
• Experience within a government agency or another politically governed organization
