Data Engineer at Skandiabanken

Working as a Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Skandiabanken, you will be a central part of our team that develops our new Data Warehouse. The work consists of lifting the solution to a new bank-wide data platform on-prem and preparing for a future cloud migration. You will also be involved in maintaining and operating the existing solution. You will build and optimize data pipelines and ensure that our data management is both efficient and secure. The role means you will work closely with the business to meet their needs. You are also expected to coach and train junior colleagues.

The Team

The team currently consists of Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Solution Architects, all located at our office at Lindhagensgatan 86 in Stockholm. Our team is characterized by high progress, with a strong emphasis on collaboration to succeed. We learn from each other through continuous workshops and encourage a culture where we dare to raise ideas, trust each other, and develop together. We are an agile team working according to the SAFe method.

We work in a hybrid model, which means a mix of office work and remote work. In this role, you will report to our group manager within Data & Analytics at Skandiabanken.

To Succeed in the Role

We see you as a supportive, collaborative person who thrives in an environment where teamwork is central. You have the drive and determination to develop both yourself and others. To succeed, it is natural to be communicative and to have trust in each other to build a strong team.

You have many years of experience in Data Warehouse development in an on-prem Microsoft environment. Additionally, you have a good understanding and knowledge of data modeling and ETL development. The role requires you to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is a merit but not a necessity if you have worked with Data Vault and have experience with DWA tools.
